PDC Drill Bits
Linkers India PDC bits are available in both Matrix body and Steel body styles. The two provide significantly different capabilities, and, because both types have certain advantages, a choice between them would be decided by the needs of the application.
PDC bits are designed and manufactured in two structurally dissimilar styles:-
Linkers India is rapidly putting effort in evolving the steel and Matrix PDC's, and their limitations are diminishing with continuous development. As hard-facing materials improve, steel bits are becoming extremely well protected with materials that are highly resistant to abrasion and erosion. At the same time, the structural and wear-resisting properties of matrix materials are also rapidly improving, and the range of economic applications suitable for both types is growing.

A diamond cutter is fused to the body at the end of the blade to ensure that the cutters and wall are not damaged while the bit is pulled out of the hole for maintenance or completion.
Nozzles play a very important role in the life of a drill bit. Bit hydraulics are controlled through these precision drilled nozzles which also go through a series of heat treatment processes for stability.
Threads are machined in CNC with ultimate precision and dimensioning. Correct measures are taken to maintain the line of bit. A thin layer of heavy duty grease is applied to prevent rust.
Blades are given offset during assembly/design of the bit so that gouging and crushing of the bits can take place. Blade offset are 15 degrees for soft, 13 degrees for medium and 11 degree for hard formation bits.
In steel body PDC, a layer of hard-facing material is applied in the gauge of body to ensure that the bore hole is within tolerance. A series of strategically placed TC inserts ensures gauge protection resulting in hole within tolerance.
Cutters of special grade with body of sintered Tungsten Carbide are fused into accurately machined holes in the alloy steel bodies/matrix body, the exposed ends of the inserts form the cutters.
